The National Platform has been established to facilitate collaboration and cooperation in waste management across Sri Lanka.

The objectives of the National Platform are:

1. To share experiences and learning from ongoing projects related to waste management, so as to avoid replication of projects waste of resources.

2. To develop a proper integrated waste management plan which ensures the participation of all interested parties.

3. To share good practices, lessons learned and knowledge gained through the experience of each of the member organisations.
